You guys were proven wrong last season in the playoffs with the defensive player of the year Ben Wallace. Flip Saunders has made the Pistons an offensive minded basketball team and they showed last year against the Cleveland Cavaliers and against the Miami Heat that they simply cannot get stops late in games and that was with the best defensive player of the year. The opponents were always afraid to drive to the hoop against the Pistons because the presence of Ben Wallace was always there and it forced teams to shoot from the outside which led to low percentage shots and misses...now that you don't have Big Ben to stand that ground the Pistons defense will be one of the worst in the league.

Tayshaun, and Chauncey are both All NBA Defenders, and while you may disagree, Ben Wallace was not a huge reason. Rasheed is also a very underrated defender, and Antonio mCDyess is no slouch on the defensive side of the ball either. The Pistons will still be a top ten defense IMO.

You made alot of sense there. I didn't know not being a championship caliber team is a weakness, I actually thought that weaknesses lead to that. I think that the Lakers biggest weakness is the point guard position, are Jordan Farmar or Smush Parker good enough to start in the nba for a playoff team??
