Stupid question

Is the Oilers benches on the wrong side of the ice?

 

I'm not sure. I usually don't get to see games @ Edmonton. Something with Comcast and how much it sucks.

 

Don't know. But I do know that the benches are supposed to be opposite of the penalty boxes, and in the 1st and 3rd periods the team sits closest to their goalie. In the 2nd period the goalies switch ends, so the goalie is further away from the bench. Perhaps it is the 2nd period changing of sides that confused you? Otherwise, I'm not really sure what you mean.

 

When im watching the game the camera is on the bench, while watching the oilers, I saw the penalty box...

The bench is supposed to be on the opposite side of the ice from the penalty box.
