The Blazers have dropped their first two games. The team looks unorganized and without identity. Their second game was an improvement from the first even without injured guard Anfernee Simons. It's going to be a long season. My question is: Has Billups or his staff ever seen this Ayton shot chart that shows that Ayton is super efficient all the way out to the free throw line and beyond? I'm not talking 55% efficient. I am talking 65%. Wouldn't it be a good idea to build an offense around him? Especially since there is not a Durant and Booker on the team to keep happy? https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/ayton-shot-chart-2022
Matisse had bad body language, he was loafing around the court last night. What's going on at the SF slot ?? Should the Blazers start Toumani ?
I would have thought Billups and his staff would be working on a small book, "101 ways to get the ball to Ayton in scoring position" and then use those ideas in games. Has the dude and his people even thought of one page or one line? "Wait for Ayton to be motionless and triple-teamed, then throw him the ball at his ankles."
