Definitely someone I was looking forward to seeing play and I'm sad to see him go...but, from what I'd heard he was well down the depth chart. Ducks are stacked at WR Good luck to him, he seems like a quality kid STOMP
Ducks lose a TON of speed with him leaving.. good thing we got speed to burn. Aside from Kelley, Sumler was one I was looking most forward to seeing out of WR's. I wish him well.
HTML: MickZagger Who are the many? Well Rob Moseley of the Registered-Guard doesn't have him making the travel squad because of the depth at this position.... you can link it through Bleachers too.....
won't effect us at all.. he's a 5'8" WR.. Yea.. he's blazing fast and maybe could play tazar/slot.. but what I've been hearing is that Bralon Addison is looking like a mini DAT. Plus with having Dontre Wilson coming in next year he would probably never see the field.
I wish Tacoi well, but he wasn't going to get the PT he wanted at UO behind Addison/Kelley/DAT/Vaughn/Huff/Dungy, and even Chance Allen and Dwayne Stanford this season, let alone balls to Lyerla at TE. Chip likely helped Sumler find an FCS option that works for him, and it seems like Sumler is leaving on good terms. He was struggling with downfield blocking a bit, which as we know, matters a lot in Chip's offense. He simply just wasn't good enough at this point to crack the rotation. 4 years ago, he wouldn't be transferring, and he'd be getting PT this season. This stuff happens once a team starts recruiting a different caliber of athlete at the skill positions. Where Oregon still is lacking is on the lines in terms of recruiting, but that seems to be correcting itself as well.
