The Grand Rapids Flight just got some height:http://www.iblhoopsonline.com/documents/Mi...onthree_000.pdfI'll definitely go to see this beast of a man play. I can assure you that he will not make an impact in the NBA, but this is the best thing to happen to Grand Rapids sports since the Rampage were created. HE'S HUGE!
Sun Ming Ming. nice video he's funny, he'd be a good personality if he was in the nba even if he was to average 7 points a game.

Anybody know how old he is? But I have a huge feeling he's going to make it to the NBA and be somewhere around the 3rd string or possibly a starter for a team who needs a C.
He's probably in his early 20's right now. LOOK AT THOSE HANDS!You know what big hands mean....big gloves...ahem...
Damn, it is just plain insane to see someone that tall... It's like hes not even human. Everyone looks so small and puny compared to him.
Guy is insanely big, it will be interesting to see if he ever winds up in the NBA. His footwork and basketball abilities are really limited right now but who knows? I mean the guy is 7' 9'' for christ sake. There are some mixes of him on youtube. Also I saw on Wikipedia that he is in a fight scene with Chris Tucker in the upcoming Rush Hour 3. I don't know if there is any legitimacy behind that though.

Ha Seung-Jin is probably twice as good as Sun Ming Ming is, and thats pretty bad.
I'm willing to be he won't make it either.I heard he gets winded after running up and down twice and needs to rest.
He could die before he plays and contributes in the nba. The man has a tumor on his pituitary gland and that's why he's so tall. It's kind of ironic, but the thing that makes him famous might kill him.
He had the surgery and it was succesful from what I'm hearing. Obviously no league of any legitmacy would let the guy play with a tumor on his brain.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It is also stimulating over-production of growth hormone, a condition known as acromegaly, and can lead to premature death if not removed. Surgery was scheduled for August 31, 2005, but since Sun had neither health insurance nor enough money to pay for the surgery, it was re-scheduled and Sun's agent, Charles Bonsignore of Passing Lane Sports, started a fundraiser to raise the necessary funds. After the surgery, Sun returned to the court and appeared in a match between Ventura College and Southeastern Community College of Iowa, and was signed by USBL team Dodge City Legend in Dodge City, Kansas on March 30, 2006. On January 31, 2007, he signed with the Maryland Nighthawks of the American Basketball Association and is currently touted as the tallest player in the history of professional basketball. Nighthawks owner and ABA chief operating officer Tom Doyle expects this signing to draw crowds to the games. In his first game with NightHawks, he scored 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks. On March 13, 2007 it was announced that Sun Ming Ming has signed on for a full season with the IBL team the Grand Rapids Flight.</div>
oh I didn't know that... well anyway I hope he can be in the NBA someday so I can watch himEDIT: Phoenix is getting an IBL team.... SWEET!!!
