The Kings(17-8)play host to the Warriors(8-16)at the Arco arena sunday night.

Golden State is looking for a win against a top notch NBA Team, and the Warriors play with a lot of heart and determantion,I'll give them that, but i don't think there going to get a win against the Kings sunday.I Believe the way the Warriors have been playing,i think were going to be a bit much for them.however,Golden State has proven that they can hold their own against much better teams, and last year they gave us a run for the money, but i don't think it will be like that this year at all.

The Kings will probably have a great game against the Warriors, and look for our Defense to probably excel well in sunday's game.

    That's even better [IMG]

Last year's season series between the Kings and Warriors was a really good series, with a split between the 2 clubs.it'd be nice to see that happen again, but i think the Kings will win the season series.no offense to Warrior fans but i feel the Kings are going to be a bit much for this season's Warrior team to handle.

But i do wish Golden State the best of luck in this game.if the Warriors can win at the Arco,I'll be impressed, and i might think they may not be as bad as everyone thinks of them.

    Go Kings!

    I'll post my preview here

    Warriors (8-18) @ Kings (17-8)

    Warriors Keys To Winning:

Let Jason Richardson take the ball inside and get another twenty + point game against Doug Christie. Troy Murphy needs to have a good game against C-Webb and should get yet another double ? double. Speedy Claxton needs to do as well or better than Mike Bibby and needs to take the ball out of the Kings hands. Also hit the outside shot like they did against Memphis and do not let the Kings get many offensive rebounds.

    Warriors Key Bench Players:

Mickael Pietrus will have to guard the Kings many guards/forwards very well and needs to not fall in love with the three but go inside. Eduardo Najera will need to have a good game like he did against Memphis and come off the bench with energy and good defense like he has for the better part of the year.

    Starting Lineups:
    Warriors Kings
Head Coach: Mike Montgomery vs. Head Coach: Rick Adlemen
PG: Speedy Claxton vs. Mike Bibby:
Even: Both are very quick and can steal the ball and start fast breaks.
SG: Jason Richardson vs. SG: Doug Christie
Warriors: Christie is better defensively, but J-Rich should be able to go to the hoop well.
SF: Mike Dunleavy vs. SF: Peja Stojakovic:
Kings: Stojakovic is a better shooter, defender, and everything than Dunleavy.
PF: Troy Murphy vs. Chris Webber:
Warriors: Murphy can get a double ? double and is a good perimeter shooter.
C: Cliff Robinson vs. Mike Miller:
Kings: Miller is quicker and a better scorer, however Robinson will probably cause trouble for Miller

    Kings Keys To Winning:

The Kings veterans like C-Webb and Stojakovic need to score big and cause trouble for the young Warriors team. Let Bobby Jackson and Darius Songaila have big games off the bench. Also crush the Warriors on the offensive glass. If the Warriors start showing signs of weakness, use it to the Kings advantage. And last but not least, let Christie guard the Warriors guards and stop them from going inside

    Kings Key Bench Players:

Bobby Jackson should have a good game and he and Bibby should split playing time and tire the Warrior guards. Darius Songaila should have a big night and needs to make Mike Dunleavy easy to guard and play against.

    Player Of The Game:

Jason Richardson: 29 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists

    Prediction:

Warriors by one. 103 to 102

Just watch Speedy Claxton take down your offense and watch J-Rich and Troy Murphy control the Warriors offense [IMG]

I am hoping that Evans will get some more playing time in this game.
he looked really good against the heat playing for a kings team that had lost the services of Miller and Christie for much of the night and Jackson who will be gone for a while.
7 offensive boards is exactly the type of stuff that the Kings need this season and with Tag & Evans being as active as they are on the boards that bodes well for those times when substitutions need to be made.

Wow.This homestand has reminded me of the kings last 24 games of the year last season.Winning 2 of 5 at home is atrocious. The kings have for the most part stunk it up the past 8 games.

bad news that the Kings lost this game.
unfortunatly, with the holidays & everything.. I have not had time to watch any of the past few games (with the exception of the heat) and it wont be untill next week that I will be able to really catch any games on the TV so I dont really have any good insights as to what is going on with the team right now & how they are looking... [IMG]

suffices to say that they need to get their collective acts together and quick because the schedule is about to start getting tougher pretty soon here.

also... one more thing before people start lining up to jump off the bridges....

yeah... they only won 2 of the last 5 and yeah... they have yet another key injury.
keep in mind that they are still 4th in the west right now behind a pheonix team that will loose in the first round of the playoffs (maybe second depending on who they have to face in the first round) and Seattle who is good... but I think they are going to fade in the second half of the season. the only reason anyone is even talking about this being a big huge deal is because the Kings are usually very rock solid at home. GSW has only won 3 times since 1998 in Arco (even adding that last win... 3 times in that amount of time is pretty impressive) and the Kings have won the past 11 meetings with GSW (pretty sure its 11, someone correct me if im wrong) they were bound to win one sooner or later.

none of that excuses the fact that they didnt play very well from what I am reading today... but still, all in all there is nothing that is really going to make me all that concerned about this right now....

Simply Put...The Warriors played hard and better, and they deserved to win the game last night. The Warriors have been known over the years to give the Kings a Hard time and last night was no different.

It was a great game, anyways as both teams played their best.J-Rich and Speedy were the stars for the Warriors that night, and were the key factors in the win for Golden State..However,the Kings like Haberingofdoom just said didn't play that bad at all.Webber had a great night with 28 points, but that wasn't enough for a win however.

    Great game for the Warriors.Congrats!

I think it was 11 straight until the last game of last season in which the Warriors knocked the Kings out of the Division lead by beating them 97-91 at The Arena.
