<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Suns have swingmen called JJ staying (Jim Jackson), departing (Joe Johnson) and under consideration (Indiana's James Jones). There is interest in Jones, a restricted free agent, but Phoenix's focus is on getting freshly waived Michael Finley to return to his original NBA team. The Suns are considered a long shot to pull it off despite the lure of Steve Nash and a starting guard spot. If Finley's choice is weighed on money, capped-out Phoenix has no chance with only $1.1 million to offer. Detroit and Miami can start his deal with the $5 million midlevel exception. San Antonio has about half of the exception left. Finley will still collect $51.8 million from Dallas, but there is an offset formula that limits his double-dipping take.</div> Source The Pacers will likely match the offer, but if the Suns and Jones, he's going to put up some big numbers for them. He's actually a better 3point shooter than QRich was, and hit some big shots last year for the Pacers. He made a high of 6 three pointers in one game last year.

He is a nice player and would compliment the Suns style very well.
James Jones can be a solid backup at the 3 or 4. I saw him at UM and this year he was solid off the bench.
