The Suns are currently 30-4 and on pace to finish the season at 71-11, with a little bit of luck they've got a good shot at breaking the record held by Jordans' Bulls.
I read an article about this at ESPN. If Pheonix keeps playing like this, I think it`s 100% possible. The big names on that team such as Nash, Marion, Stoudemire etc. are really contributing on both sides of the floor. The question is, can the Suns reach the finals?
Then the real question is...Can the suns get past the spurs? Getting to 70+ will be determined by the suns health. If they can stay injury free than i see it as a possibility'
Now I know that they are on pace to do that, but you really think that they are going to be able too? I doubt it. Also they will be able to get past the Spurs. This team is a contender in my mind but not a 70+ win contender.
Didn't they say their have only been 9 teams to go 30-4, and 6 of them won a championship, so the Suns odds are looking really good, now if they can get past the Spurs, ahh!
A bit premature considering the season is only around 40% completed. I'm looking forward to matchup with Miami big time, as well as our return bout with the Spurs, to see how we match up with these teams with dominant big men
I would wait a little bit longer until we start to talk about a possible 70+ win season and possibly breaking the Bulls record for wins in a season that I thought a team would NEVER break that record. You have to remember the Bulls lost their 4th game when they had their 40th win and we have 4 loses and we have 30 wins. It would be great to have the Suns in the record books for wins in a season, but I want a championship
I absolutely think the Suns can break the record, and there is little doubt in my mind that they can reach the Finals. Tommorow's game is going to be interesting because I think it's a Finals preview. If they can beat the Heat, they have a chance at the title.
make that 31-4 amare had 34 pts and battled with shaq marion was unstoppabl as usual steve nash !! 16 pts and 16 assists with help from joe johnson, Q , Jacobsen (ice man) and Steven Hunter they're looking real good right now ...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Marbire:</div><div class="quote_post">Make that 31-5, thanks to my Utah Jazz.</div> Your guys were playing hot and ... no idea where the suns were, because apparently they weren't even on the court, heh. Good on the jazz though, gives the fans something to be excited about for a change. They just beat the spurs too I think.
A total of 6 bench points by our Suns is the number one reason we lost that game. Compared to the 67 bench points by the Jazz. Mehmet Okur has been playing well as of late and along with a little help from Boozer he seemed to slow Amare down. I liked the defence from Q though, 4 steals but then again he pumped up 17 shots and only made 6 of them. Nash had another great game with another double-double. I think we have to mainly put this game behind us and focus on beating the Pacers on Friday. Also at least we broke out our secret weapon for the Jazz game, our orange uni's, maybe they are bad luck
if the suns dont get any injuries (knock on wood) I predict that they'll have a strong season; due to the fact primarily opposing teams are just not use to running for a full 48 minutes period.
They will get around 60 wins not 70. They cant last that long with all of their starters playing around 45 minutes. That is just a little too hard. Although I think that they will make the Championship.
Joe Johnson 39.0 MPG Shawn Marion 39.0 MPG Steve Nash 34.5 MPG Quentin Richardson 37.3 MPG Amare Stoudemire 36.1 MPG They dont play 45 minutes a game and they will win more than 60 games. Also, most guys are young so they shouldn't get too worn down by the end of the season. Nash is the only older one and he is averaging only 34.5 MPG. They have a good chance at 70 but its not a sure thing, they will def get 65 or higher though unless someone gets injured.

How can we tell if they have a good bench because we never get to see them play. I am saying that they will get less then 60 wins and they really need help from their bench if they want to win it all.
i dont think they will break the record. i think they will have a losing since nash is goin to miss games and even wit nash i doubt they break the record
