<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LOS ANGELES, Jan 8 (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Clippers delivered the final loss of the Phoenix Suns' difficult 2003-04 campaign. The Suns equaled their win total from last season by dominating the Clippers. Joe Johnson scored 23 points and Shawn Marion added 22 as the Suns started fast and cruised to a 108-91 victory over the Clippers. With its fifth straight win, Phoenix (29-4) built upon the finest start in franchise history and recorded the ninth-best 33-game start in league history. The Suns are on pace to finish 72-10 and match the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls for the NBA's best all-time record. </div> Link (NBA.com) We are on track to finish 72-10, the league's best all-time record. I find that interesting. Basiclly now we can be considered as one of the top starts to a season in NBA history. The Suns starting lineup tied the ammount of points that the Clippers had the whole game, 91 points by the Suns starting lineup and 91 points by the Clippers team. JJ lead the Suns in scoring for this one, he had 23 points, 6 assits, and 5 boards. Following JJ was Shawn Marion, who had another double-double with 22 points, 11 boards. Suns are on fire.
They need more bench depth. If they got a couple of more good solid role players, they would be very dangerous.

Hell, Hunter leads the league in blocks per 48 mins. Not too shabby for a bench player... And don't forget Bo Outlaw and Jake Voshkul. They're not all-stars, but they bring a lot of energy and hustle.

what is the best record again? I know it was by the Bulls but I forgot what the had... I gots hope in our Suns to be the best.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">Hunter is good, Barbosa is inconsistent, and Jacobsen is one-dimensional.</div> Well Barbosa is alright I think. He's got good defense and creates turnovers and steals, plus he's faster than greased lightning down the stretch. Unless you're talking about him getting the chicken pox I'm not sure how he's "inconsistant". Remember he had to take over the team after the marbury trade last season. I think he's done alright and has improved markedly under the wing of Nash. Jacobsen is a decent defender and yes he shoots a lot of 3's (and shoots them extremely well) but he also can penetrate and score or at least draw the foul. He's not the kind of player that can consistantly do both at the same time (get in, score and draw the foul), but with a high FT % he can still put points on the board. I watch the suns night in and night out and have for a few seasons now. I'm sure I'm biased and probably see more potential than actual talent in some cases, but I don't think I'm entirely wrong about our bench depth.

The Suns are 27-4 the Bulls did not lost their 4th game until they had 40 wins. As for us not having enough bench, the reason our bench players aren't producing is because our starters play nearly 40 minutes per game each. Our bench players wouldn't be that bad if they would be getting some playing time. I would love to see how Hunter reacts to more playing time, like unbeliever said Hunter leads the league in blocks per 48 minutes yet he is only playing 13 minutes per game. Maybe against the big teams with players such as KG or Duncan we can slide Hunter in the starting lineup for either JJ or Q.
