<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Shaquille O'Neal returned to Phoenix on Sunday afternoon after attending to matters in Miami. He went directly to US Airways Center to begin his first Suns workout. He went through two sets of the six corrective exercises that Phoenix's athletic training staff designed for him. Then he underwent a manual therapy session with trainer Aaron Nelson before going to the court for shooting and some basic offense with Suns assistant Phil Weber. O'Neal ended his session with cardio work before sitting on the Suns' bench for the game. O'Neal will practice today and Tuesday, when the staff will sit down with him after practice to decide a game plan. "When he's ready, we'll do it, regardless of whether we're home or away," Mike D'Antoni said.</div> The Arizona Republic
I am making a rare post outside the Nuggets forum to say RIP to the Suns' Championship hopes. You blew it, Phoenix, pure and simple. You should have won the Championship last year and were cheated. Now this year, you could easily have won, but you cheated yourself. What were you thinking? Don't you know Pat Riley always takes advantage of chumps and gets the best of trades? How can you win a Championship with an over the hill Center who can't shoot free throws? Biggest beneficiaries of the Suns blunder: Hornets, Lakers, Mavericks, and Spurs, who else? The Suns can still beat the Nuggets in a series, but they can no longer beat any of those four teams in a best of 7. They might even have trouble with the Jazz or Rockets now. RIP Phoenix Suns, Champions who never made it official.
