<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Suns got their first look at some possible future NBA talent in their first pre-draft workout at America West Arena on Sunday. St. Joseph?s playmaker Jameer Nelson, Xavier guard Romain Sato and Seton Hill center Ales Chan showed off their moves in front of a collection of Suns' brass, coaches and scouts in preparation for the June 26 NBA Draft. "It went well,? said Suns assistant GM Mark West of the initial workout. ?It?s hard to evaluate them in that short, little environment vs. what they?ve done in their careers. But we?ve heard and seen what they can do in games, so we put them through drills and see how it pans out. We want to see if (they) can really shoot it. They all did well. </div> Pre-Draft Workouts
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting panfolk:</div><div class="quote_post">seton hall is a college</div> Yes, but the article says Seton Hill with an "i". For a minute there, I thought they misspelled Seton Hall. I guess Seton Hill is a seperate college though. Anyway, the Suns could always trade for a second round draft pick. If they are particularly impressed by one of these players who looks like they'll be around in the second round (ie: Sato), then they'll probably make a move to get a second round pick. Jameer Nelson is a bit farfetched as well if you assume that they'll only have their current #7 pick on the day of the draft. However, some people think he may go as high as #8 if Gordon and Harris are gone, because Toronto desperately needs help at the point guard position.
In another thread I posted a link to an article saying that the suns didn't think barbosa panned out at PG (he belongs as a 2) and want to go u in the draft to get Gordon. Some draft sites have him within reach though... I guess they don't have much faith in Vujanic either. draftcity says andriuskevicius might pull out of the draft until next year unless the suns (or another top 10) guarantee his pick.
