Thanks to our friends over at arizonasportsfans.com, I get all the Suns news. On Gambo's radio show I guess they were talking about how the Suns are interested in acquiring Camby. We'd be trading Kurt Thomas for him and there'd obviously be other pieces included by both sides(just what I heard, no real proposal yet). I would like Camby on this team. He has his injury problems, but so will KT next year playing at our pace. He's already had a couple injuries the last two year. Only thing I worry about is the Kurt played better D on Duncan than Camby, but Camby does give us a much needed shot blocker and if the Nuggets can include Reggie Evans then we get a dirty player to counter their's. I'd be happy if they went after him. We need to tweak this roster a little bit. We won't get any better until D'Antoni increases his rotation a bit though.

I guess Denver would take Kwame Brown if they got Andrew Bynum as well but I don't know why LA would want to do that As far as the Suns chances if Atlanta's pick is not involved they have as much a chance as the Lakers would with a straight up Brown/Camby swap. While he did play decently defensively KT was dominated by Tim Duncan who managed to put up a line around 26/13/3 against Thomas..

Well, I wish you guys would've taken Banks anyway. You guys aren't beating us out for anyone right now with Kwame as the guy you're trying to trade and your team right now. Diawsome is right. I'd go ahead and give up that Atlanta pick. It's not looking too good and I don't care about a possible decent player in the future if it puts us closer to winning it next year.Edit: Kurt though is a better player so if the Nuggets were choosing between those two we'd win, but they would ask for more like you said.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (KobeBryant_24 @ Jun 5 2007, 07:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>He's coming to LA</div>Uh... no...Anyway, is Kurt Thomas an expiring contract? The whole reason Denver is looking to trade Camby is to cut salary, and the best way to do that is to get an expiring contract (obviously)... If KT is expiring, then I think PHX has a good chance at landing him if they throw in a first-rounder like Diawsome said, otherwise I don't see it happening.
Yes, he does have an expiring contract. Heck, if you don't want him now he has a player option for the year too.
How about Shawn Marion? :yes1:Just kidding, Kurt Thomas wouldn't be as bad as Kwame, but I still would rather have Camby stay although unlikely.
Something I could get on board with as long as the price isn't yoo high. KT and one of the picks plus filler for both teams could be considered. I'm not too worried about Camby's injuries, its not like KT was playing every night!
Camby a Sun? well I wouldn't mind, he's able to run up the floor at a fast pace while letting a crazy shot go off at times so he could do that on a regualar basis if the suns were to pick him up.
Wow PHX is going it again. They always try to jump in on any deals LA is interested in. They did it with Marcus Banks, Jason Kidd, Kevin Garnett, and now this.... I don't understand why PHX keeps doing this to the lakers. I think there scared if LA did indeed get a really important piece to there team that they need really bad they would give PHX a run for there money and if thats the case they are sad...smart....but really sad.

Camby still won't make you guys very threatening. He is just a player we need. At the beginning of our off-season they said they were going to go after a shotblocker before they found out LA was going for him.

It's all about competition. I don't think it's sad. It's smart. If Camby did land in PHX, it would really be a good move, depending on who they would trade. He would help the Suns out defensivly, which they can use, as well as get open and hit a jumper here and there. He can run the floor in the Suns offense, which I think makes him a very nice fit.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>He's coming to LA</div><span style="font-family:Arial">Thank's for that awesome post.I would be down for trading Marcus Camby if the right deal came along. I love Camby, but we need to trade him while his stock is still high. He's going to be on the downside of his career, sooner than later. I would love to get Kurt Thomas and his expiring contract. If we're looking to make some cap room, this deal makes the most sense for Denver.I would love to get Kurt Thomas and a guy like James Jones. The player I really want from Phoenix is Barbosa. I doubt Phoenix would trade him away, though.</span>
Nah, you won't get Barbosa in this deal. I'd be okay with getting rid of James Jones with Kurt, but D'Antoni loves the guy for some reason. Maybe Kerr will make the deal because I'd rather see Rose play, better for half court offense. How about...KurtPiatkowski(to even out the salaries)Banksfor Camby Evans(he doesn't play anymore does he?)Not sure if D'Antoni would play Evans during the season, but likely sometime in the postseason against the Spurs. In that deal Banks would be the only salary you'd have to keep after the season.

I just hope Kobe doesn't go anywhere.
