You really think Rod Thorn would turn this deal down? Sounds like b.s. to me. Kidd left on bad terms from Phoenix. They didn't want him around after he was investigated for beating his wife.
No reason for the Nets to do this. Pick is top 3 protected and Bell and Kurt have long bad contracts.
Bell's contract is quite reasonable for a starting SG who plays 30+ min a night, is an above average defender, and can spread the floor. Kurt Thomas is overpaid and is like 34, but they would be taking on player making 18+ mill for this year and the next two years who is 34.
Kidd and Nash on the same team would be killa. But this was most likely fake. I mean, to prevent the Lakers from getting Kidd?
