That was really a downer. Mavericks just wanted it more. I think the Suns lost that game in the first half. They should've pounced on the Mavs right away and drained the last bit of confidence that they had. Instead the Mavs got out to a good start and their confidence levels were shooting through the roof by halftime. I still think the Suns can win this series in six, although I think they need to (and I think they have) realized that they can't just cruise past teams anymore, and come out in Dallas with 200% intensity and desire to win, and they will. Most importantly however, they need to carry that effort over to every game of this series. Dallas simply cannot match the atheletism and power of the Suns, and the Suns need to capitalize on that for a full 48 minutes.
The Suns have an incredibly potent offense. No lead is safe against them, and they are indeed the favored team in this series. However, the longer the series goes, the more impactful Dallas' depth becomes. Phoenix missed a crucial opportunity to put Dallas away early in the series. Now, it will be in Dallas' favor if this stretches to 7-games. The Suns have the best road record in the NBA, so the Mavs have to be ready for them in the AAC. If the Mavs can keep competing, then we fans are in store for an exciting series indeed.
