Damnit. I like(d) the Hunter. I was really hoping he could step up and be our starting C. I think he could do it given the chance.
I know. I'm almost positive he isn't coming back, although I heard they were trading Voskuhl... they may still be up to something... I doubt it though.
It is, almost definetly... read the article in the East Valley Tribune. They can still run the up tempo play with Kurt.
Well I'd like to see him signed by the Cavs. It was a stupid move to cut him after the received him in the Gooden trade. If Z is re-signed he would definitly provide as a servicable backup.
Yeah hunter is a good player i've liked him since orlando. If he left I wouldn't be suprised, i would be disapointed just as much as when Q left. The NBA is a business
A slight blow to the Phoenix Sun's bid for world dominance... should hinder their line up... or their bench's productivity/ effectiveness.. Wherever Steven Hunter goes, keep an eye on him he seems like he'll make a big bang on a team that gives him the minutes.
With the Knicks just signing James it looks like our chances of resigning Hunter are improving. I know Utah has serious interest but things are promising.
I like Hunter, he works very hard. He is an excellent shot blocker as well, i hope we get to keep him, however, he should gain a couple pounds.
da pimp, please take the sig off. :-/ It's not that people want him, it's because we don't have the money.
Steven Hunter should take a discount for a chance to win a title and actually play a significant role on a team. The Suns is a perfect situation for him and they gave him a chance after he got bounced around the league and was headed to the NBDL or overseas quick. He couldn't even beat out DeSagana Diop or Tractor Traylor in Cleveland. I'm not sure where he plans on going, but I don't see many teams overpaying for a guy who played only 13.8 MPG last year. He works well with what the Suns like doing, and his best career move would be to return. For the Suns, I think they still need to add another 7 footer to their roster. Kurt Thomas is great, but you really can never have too, many big men, especially if they can give you some solid minutes off the bench. Jake Voskul planned on opting out, so that would leave the frontline even thinner. Steven Hunter needs Phoenix and Phoenix needs Steven Hunter, they should work on finding a happy median.

He does not want the $1.6 mill exception that we are offering . Bryan Colangelo though is trying hard to trade Little Jake which would free up $1.9 million and allow us to resign Hunter. Then Colangelo must make a difficult decision on paying Hunter $2.5-3 million a year
