<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Here's a sure sign Kevin Garnett is becoming unhappy in Minnesota: He told reporters Sunday he doesn't know where they get the idea he's unhappy. It's a puzzling statement, especially when Garnett says uplifting stuff like: "People feel sorry for me? I don't go out and scout players. I don't do any of the front-office stuff. This thing's bigger than Kevin Garnett. I'm a piece, but . . . I don't want nobody to feel sorry for me. I bust my (expletive) to come in and be consistent every year. If you want to feel sorry for somebody, feel sorry for the people who put the team together and haven't put me in a position to be in those situations." Yep, that sounds happy. Garnett's outburst comes amid growing speculation the 30-year-old former NBA Most Valuable Player may ask to be traded if Minnesota doesn't start improving soon, and that he will want to go somewhere that he can compete for an NBA title. For now, however, it appears the Timberwolves are not entertaining offers for their superstar. This brings us to our local ballclub, the one that has won six straight games and suddenly looks like the title contender many expected. Should the Suns get in the Garnett Sweepstakes if he does end up on the block? Well, yes and no. It is awfully tempting to fuel the speculation by arguing that landing Garnett would punch the Suns' Big Ticket to the NBA title. And the Suns are one of the few teams with a whole lot of assets to offer in a trade - big contracts, lots of draft picks and young players. However, we're going to play Barney Fife this time and "Nip it in the bud! Nip it! Nip it! Nip it!" To make a deal like that, the Suns would have to give up something really good, a player such as Shawn Marion or Amar? Stoudemire not to mention some draft picks and other players to make a deal work under the league's salary cap rules. Stoudemire, for instance, is a so-called "base-year-compensation player" because he's in the first year of his contract extension. What's that mean? It's all very complicated, and we'd try to explain it except Stoudemire's really good, he's 24, he's getting healthy and the Suns shouldn't trade him. So why bother? Anyway, a trade for Garnett may help the Suns win a championship. But if it didn't, the Suns would be giving up a big piece of their future - one that might include championships without Garnett. No, the Suns are in a position to contend for a long time. Their chemistry is coming back. Stoudemire is hitting his stride. The building is full.</div> Source

Last I checked Kevin Garnett was not a point gaurd, so y Steve Nash's age has anything to do with this makes no sense. This type of trade will never happen, you don't break up a team that has been to 2 consecutive Western Conference finals, and that hasn't yet played at full capacity.
The Suns wouldn't send Minny Marion, Stoudamire, Nash, Diaw or prob. not even Bell. They would prob. send Jumaine Jones and Kurt Thomas.

<div class="quote_poster">CLos Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What I'm saying is that the Suns wouldn't trade for Garnett. Simple as that.</div> Yes they would. If all the Wolves would want in return is Boris Diaw and Raja Bell, the Suns would except the deal in the second before pissing themselves in the pants
<div class="quote_poster">Brian Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Yes they would. Why would the Suns risk ruining there line up? This would be a horrible idea! You are a moron do say this is a good idea!

Can you imagine what this starting is capable of?? C - Amare PF - Garnett SF - Marion SG - James?? PG - Nash Again, I am speechless
That would be stupid! Whos to say that the Wolves are even that supid? Basketball is a serious game and you can't take gambles like this. We aren't playing fantasy basketball! This wouldn't even work because the Suns don't have that kind of money.
The Suns chemistry would be horrible if they trade both Bell AND Diaw. Sure, KG is good and all but he's getting older and Diaw gets nice numbers along with Bell being a good defender and 3pt shooter.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Raja Bell is a good defender? Okay, so what. Diaw can give you points? Okay, so what. Both of them are nothing more than role players, and both of them aren't even young anymore, which means what you are seeing now is basically what you will get from them for the rest of their career. Obviously this trade is no way in hell going to happen, because the Wolves GM is not an idiot. But if it did go down, you get another player to pair up with Amare in the paint, you combine that with Marion and Nash in the front court and the Suns are unstoppable. You're talking about team chemistry. Who the hell cares about team chemistry when you can get a top 10 player in the NBA in KG? You think the Nuggets cared about team chemistry when they traded for AI? No. Garnett >>>>>>>>>> Diaw and Bell So yes, if you wouldn't trade Diaw and Bell for Kevin Garnett you are on crack
