Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! With a win tonight over a tough Sacramento team at Arco Arena, the Suns tied their franchise record for consecutive wins. It was a very impressive victory. The Kings and Artest were dominating the Suns, especially on D during the first quarter, but then, the Suns came back with a strong 3rd quarter and pulled out another win. Raja Bell got his shooting touch back and that really helped. Everyone on the team was contributing and Nash supplied the dagger at the end to finish off the Kings. Kurt and Barbosa kept us in the game early and really helped out off the bench, combining for 28 points. Amare had a 20 and 9 night and looked very good. The Suns have a fairly easy schedule before the get to Dallas so hopefully they'll break the franchise record against Toronto on Tuesday and then be on a 18 game win streak before they face Dallas. This team is looking great right now.
Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns overcame a slow start to tie a franchise record with their 14th straight win, beating the Sacramento Kings 105-98 Saturday night.Nash was held scoreless for nearly the entire first half as the Suns fell behind by double digits early before rallying for the win. Nash finished with 16 points and 12 assists to lead the way, hitting a long jumper after Sacramento had cut the Phoenix lead to five in the final minute.Phoenix's streak matches the franchise record set from Dec. 1-30, 1992, en route to the team's only NBA Finals appearance. The Suns will try to break the mark at home on Tuesday night against Toronto. The run-and-gun Suns looked nothing like their usual selves for most of the opening half, scoring 31 points in the first 22 minutes as they struggled to generate any offense. They found their shooting touch after that, sparked by Nash's 3-pointer with 1:46 left in the half for his first basket of the game.Phoenix scored 74 points the rest of the way, becoming the first opponent in six games to reach 100 points at Arco Arena.Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 20 points and nine rebounds. Leandro Barbosa added 18 and Raja Bell scored all 15 of his points in the second half. All seven players who scored for Phoenix finished with at least 10 points. The Suns trailed for nearly the entire first half before going on an 11-0 run early in the third quarter. Nash keyed the spurt with two baskets and two assists, helping Phoenix take a 56-54 lead. Bell's 3-pointer off an assist from Nash capped the run.Phoenix expanded on the lead, hitting 14 of 24 shots in the quarter, including four 3-pointers. Bell, who was 0-for-5 shooting in the first half, hit five of six shots in the third, including a steal and layup in the final seconds to make it 80-73 heading into the fourth.Sacramento leading scorer Kevin Martin left the game with a sprained right ankle with 4:25 remaining in the third quarter and did not return. Martin scored 23 points before the injury, when he landed on an opponent's foot while feeding Brad Miller for a basket. With Martin limping, Shawn Marion hit a 3-pointr to make it 73-66 before Sacramento called a timeout.John Salmons added 20 points, Ron Artest scored 16, and Kenny Thomas has 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Kings, who have lost seven of nine.Sacramento went on a 10-0 run to go up 15-5 and didn't trail again the rest of the half. Martin keyed the fast start with 14 points in the first 8? minutes, outscoring Phoenix's total of 13 points through that span.Sacramento shut down reigning two-time MVP Nash for most of the first half, holding him scoreless until his 3-pointer with 1:46 left in the half cut the Kings' lead to 42-34.The Suns picked up the pace after that, scoring 11 more points in the half to cut the lead to 50-45 at the break.</div>
Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! I say the Suns go for a 65 win season. They're just too f*cking good!
Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! We ain't gonna lose til we get to Dallas, and even then I think we will continue our streak.
Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! This team's top 7 is just incredible. Perfect chemistry, better D than previous two teams, better O than previous 2 teams. If James Jones starts shooting like last season, or Jumaine starts playing well I'm feeling great about our championship chances. This win was great considering it was their 7th game in 10 days, it was at one of the toughest places to play against a healthy Sacramento team that was playing great. 18 straight would be awesome but they need to beat Dallas too to prove themselves against the West's elite.
Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! New franchise record win streak at 15 now after 17 point win over the Raptors. The bench was emptied with a little less than 8 minutes left. I wish Bosh was playing, without him this game meant very little...I just want to see the Suns beat some good teams now.Amare was amazing. 28 points and 10 rebounds in 28 minutes. Nash had 15 assists and also only played 28 minutes. Good to see Diaw back in shape and playing like last year now. James Jones still can't buy a bucket. It's good that it was a blowout because we have another game tomorrow. It seems like the Suns have a back-to-back every single week....Oh, and the Lakers lost after a good 2nd half by the Bulls. Kobe had one of those "off-nights"
Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! The more Suns games for me to watch, the better!I'm going to their game against the Wizards on Friday night... Should be interesting, 5 days after Arena's dropped 60 on Kobe and Co. I think the Suns will win tomorrow in Denver and hopefully beat Washington as well.
Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! Suns will beat the Nuggets and probably beat the Wiz unless they're tired.
Re: Suns on a 14 Game Win Streak! They are doing really well but who have they played in thier last 15?Exactly only 2 of their last 15 games have been against teams with winning records! The Rockets and the Magic. The rest of thier wins while well deserved have been against teams that are losing more than they are winning. Lets Wait and see till they win against winning teams before we start getting all jizzed up.

It takes a lot to win 15 like that.
