118 - 116 Well, I am disappointed, but more because of how great we really played tonight, and I think after that rally at the end we deserved that 3 to go. Any other team we would have won against (I mean with the way we played against one of the best teams in the NBA, with 1 or 2 exceptions, against any other team that performance would have gotten a big win) at home, and that was a very very positive performance. I think we can have our heads up with that game, suns are a truely great team, and when we went down, not once, but twice we rallied right back. Alot of nice elements and positives tonight I feel. The bench did really well, stacy and jameer just awsome for us, especially with the minutes they got. Deshawn another big game, maybe looking like a good idea with him at 2-guard. Stevie was back, he was rusty at the line and from the field, but still his performance kept us in it, and you could really tell it lifted the team. But once again, I cant say that I am too disappointed, we played great, and I expected to loose badly, and I mean 110's to 80's, so a 2pt game with the suns really on their toes at the end made a exciting game, and looked more like the magic that we saw mid and early season. --- Hawks monday night. This is where we start our road to recovery. I expect a big game from the team, really to demolish them. No "relaxed" view of this game, we go out to win, and win big. --- Side Note: bobcats beat Heat by 2 tonight aswel, that actually made me feel alot better about our 2 loss's, looks like we arent the only team who can fall to them
what a game by deshawn. the loss was disappointing, but it was the suns, and they won by only two. if the magic played like this for the rest of the season, they might make the playoffs and win some, too.
yeah my thoughts exactly. At any point in this season, especially earlier I would have been quite pleased, one of the main playoff contenders, and we held them down to the end, we fought back mulitple times. Deshawn has shown alot of spirit since he has become a starter averaging around 15pts, so nice contribution now from him. Hopefully this is the turning block, keep the momentum going from this game in scoring, defend a bit more, less turn overs and the bench (basically augmon and jameer) contribute how they did vs the suns and it could be alot better
It was a hard look really. They make it sound like it was good, but jameer at 5-10 (like he is 6') with 2 players jumping past him, its a hard shot.
