Here's the link: I was really hoping that we'd pick up Childress in some way. Not only do we not get him, but he's moving in division:
I don't think Childress is worth 7M/year, at least for the Warriors. Even if we wanted him, we couldn't afford him.
I was never that high on Childress. Don't really get what all the hype is about. Hes a jack of all trades, master of none. Seems like a lot of people think these are bad moves by the Suns. IMO this does make them better unless they're planning on playing Hedo mostly at PF. They won't be as good as last year's club with Amare but they got a little more dynamic with these moves and got some good wing depth. This feels weird to say but our frontline should rape theirs in virtually every aspect. Robin Lopez, Hakim Warrick, and the kid they drafted out of Louisville last year don't exactly strike fear into the heart of Western teams lol.
You're probably right, that's a bit much for him, In my perfect world the Dubs could've replaced Monta with Henry and Childress and I would've been happy. I really like Childress' flow. He understands the game. Plays it well from every angle, great mid-range and passes the ball well. I don't think I've ever seen him out of position. If so, definitely not consistently. He plays the game well. He'd be a perfect fit with Curry and Lee. Hedo is a bad move for them for sure. He's not a bad player, just way too big of a contract. Absolutely, but I was talking more about Childress then Hedo.
Yeah, Toronto fans are rejoicing at this one. It's like the Maggette dump -- only they get Barbosa along with it. Although Hedo could play pretty well with Nash. But, yeah, I just don't see how Childress can leave to go overseas, and have his stock rise? He could be a decent role player -- like he could have been before he left the NBA -- but he hasn't played against the best competition in 2 years now -- I don't get how he's suddenly demanding a hefty contract...
