Battle for first place in the Pacific Division tonight. The Suns have been on fire winning 9 straight games, and holding teams under 100 points. They beat an up and coming Warriors team, and grinded out a victory against the Knicks last night. The Clippers have also been playing well posting big wins against the TWolves, Cavs and Heat. These teams play contrasting styles, the Suns like to run, the Clippers prefer the halfcourt game. Elton Brand is going to be a matchup problem for the Suns. Boris Diaw has been doing a nice job playing Center, but the Clippers have a huge frontline and are aggressive on the boards. Brand is a lot quicker this year and is more consistent with his mid range game. He has the ability to change the game if he can get the Suns frontcourt in foul trouble. I'm predicting the Clippers win tonight only because they are at home and the Suns are coming off a tough game last night. All the starters for Phoenix logged heavy minutes. Clippers by 5 tonight.
Go Clips. Even without Maggette we were able to take this game. While Maggette was out though, Quinton Ross in the starting lineup and having to guard Nash helped a lot, and prevented us from having to put Cassell on him. They actually just didn't guard each other in general as Bell guarded Cassell, but neither is known for their defensive abilities. Brand was held in check in the first half, the Suns doulbed him, made it hard for him to get the ball, and played him very well, but he continued to battle, shot 6-11 in the 2nd half, and finished with 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists.

The Suns were coming off of a back to back, and even struggled against the Knicks. I have a feeling we will pick it up again soon. Also you can take this keep it until spring time: THE CLIPPERS WILL NOT MAKE IT OUT OF THE 1ST ROUND!!!
