Just listened to DEN's beat reporter on Cowherd, and the question was brought up about playing in Jersey in February during the statistically-coldest week of the year. The reporter said that it wouldn't be a problem, because Knoshown Moreno is from New Jersey and ran for 220 yards in a cold game earlier this year. I'm by no means a defensive coordinator, but it seems to me that the exact gameplan the Seahawks had against SF (shutting down the SF o-line and Gore--who're better than the DEN O-line and Moreno), limiting the slants and taking their chances in man coverage against flutterballs deep into the wind (and was really only broken down by Kaepernick's speed) would be a viable option. I think it'll be fun to watch, but I'm getting a vibe like the old Parcells' Giants. Rough D, Rough running game, Game-manager-Plus QB--destroying Elway's Broncos and holding down Kelly's Bills.
That reminds me of the best Super Bowl I watched as a kid. Super Bowl XXV: Giants vs. Bills
I'm getting the vibe that it's gonna be like one of those classic Pats-Colts games in the early 2000s. Seeing as the Seahawks are built very similarly to the Pats then and the Broncos are the same as the Colts were back then for obvious reasons.
I hope the weather is horrible! Seahawks defense is amazing, but so is Manning and his crew of WR's. Anything to slow down Manning will be a huge help.
yep, true strength vs strength here. dont always get that in the Super Bowl. Hope for a great game!! (Or a Broncos blowout win.. either works)
Super Bowl 1 http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/packers-face-chiefs-in-first-super-bowl as an aside, i still can not believe that one can use the words super bowl and Seattle in the same sentance
ESPN is going all-in on Marshawn Lynch barely talking to the media. Now Ed Werder basically says the media will be harassing Lynch for quotes during the upcoming media sessions.
