<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The prize of Greg Robinson's latest recruiting class at Syracuse is on the shelf.

Former Churchville-Chili High School star running back Averin Collier is out for the remainder of spring football practice because of a small fracture in his left foot. Robinson said Wednesday night that Collier will have his foot immobilized in a protective boot for four weeks so the injury can properly heal.

"It's not a major thing ... he needs to let it get well," Robinson said.

Collier suffered the injury during practice on March 29, and an MRI on Monday revealed the fracture. Robinson said Collier continued to play after he was hurt, but after initial swelling abated, Collier suffered continued irritation that led to the MRI.

It's a tough setback for Collier. Just like Joe Fields four years ago, he graduated from high school early to enroll at Syracuse in January. The plan was to get a head start on the other freshmen by participating in spring practice.</div>
