<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There is no truth to an ESPN radio rumor that has Wally Szczerbiak and Michael Olowokandi going from the Wolves to Boston with Paul Pierce going from Boston to Seattle and Ray Allen coming here. The big push by the Wolves management now is to sign their own free agents, such as Troy Hudson, Trenton Hassell and Fred Hoiberg. Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said that later on he would be interested in signing Latrell Sprewell to a long-term contract. Sprewell will be with the Wolves in 2004-05 after deciding to exercise the option he had to play for $14.6 million next season.</div>

Yeah it would be hard to believe that the wolves would trade their two most trade able assets without gettng a legitimate bigman in return when the Center postion was their weakest postion all year last season. And the fact that Shaq never had to play defense probably also contributed to the wolves downfall in the West Finals. If the Wolves make any moves other than the obivious(re-signing their major FA), it will be to up grade their front court by adding a scrappy rebounder & a few more low post points. Their perimeter is pretty well covered from the offensive stand point with Cassell, Sprewell, Wally & Hudson, if he returns.

    Good point.

A mod at another T'Wolf board talked with his T'Wolf source & he says that the T'Wolves & Seattle have talked about a Ray Allen for Kandi & Wally, with the possibility of Seattle insisting on either Ebi or a future firstrounder.

This guy's got credibility with me because he announced the Cassell & Johnson for Joe Smith & AP trade the night of last year's draft. It wasn't announced until the next afternoon & even then KFAN was only speculating on who it might be.

Let's hope this happens. If Ray Ray joins the T'Wolves, we're champions. It's that simple. Then if we use the MLE to get Adonal Foyle we'll be defending champions for a few years.

We won't be champions if we are so weak at center that Rasho could go and score 30 against us, no matter who is on the rest of the team.
With Foyle as a Wolf, then yes, we would dominate

The thought that Rasho could score 30 against a high school team is dubious, much less against an NBA team. Yes, I'm being sarcastic but not by much. I don't think Rasho's career high points is even 30, though I might be wrong about that.

I'd love seeing Foyle here. He's a rugged player, a shotblocker & a rebounder. Shaq would score against him but he wouldn't push Foyle around & that's half the battle with Shaq.
