i heard on 610 (radio) that mcgrady might be back for nets game... HOORAY... but i'm wondering if mcgradys going to be 100% ok or hes only 75% percent ok and goign to play anyways since hes a tough player and plays through energy... instead of worrying we can be all happy now
a 75 percent mcgrady is better than the scrub players who are in place of him i could guarantee you that...
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/s.../bk/bkn/3456158 Here's the official news at Houstonchronicle. They said "may" though, so who knows. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J - Just eight days after Tracy McGrady had to be helped out of the Toyota Center practice gym and a week after the Rockets announced he would be out for three weeks, McGrady could be cleared to play tonight against the New Jersey Nets. McGrady went through extensive workouts Thursday at Miami and reported no difficulties with his back Friday morning before going through another session of running and shooting drills Friday night. He was sore after the Rockets' flight from Miami and traffic-stalled, hour-long bus ride from the airport, but that was not considered indicative of any lingering back problems. "We're going to keep him as questionable until after shootaround," Rockets trainer Keith Jones said. "He'll go through a normal shootaround, with some extra rehab stuff. "We're hoping (McGrady will play). If he's feeling good and has done everything today and tomorrow, we'll let him go. Tracy wants to play. He's been pushing since Tuesday and Wednesday, saying he would play (Thursday in Miami). He just was not where we wanted him to be yet." </div>

Tmac if he comes back will get limited time unless he feels and tells JVG that hes good to go. He will still average what luther head and wesley do combined and more even at 75%. His offense is not what I'm looking forward to. I'm looking forward to if Tmac is in the game the double teams will come less to yao and I expect him to have a good game going up against a dangerously undersized and inexperienced center in kristic. Kristic is a good player but yao can dominate him. as for their back court, all we can do is hold them and hope Vince carter and rich jeff don't do good like last night when richard jefforson scored 7 and vince carter scored 18.
I just hope McGrady doesn't rush back too early. If it takes an extra week or two for these back problems to go away for good this season, I'd take that instead.
Krstic is undersized? He's 7'..., and he won't be guarding Yao unless Collins sits out tonight, and even then, I think Jackson will be guarding Yao more.
here's a report that ESPN posted a couple of minutes ago. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Houston Rockets: Swingman Tracy McGrady, recovering sooner than initially expected from back spasms, returned for Saturday night's game against the Nets. The five-time All-Star played in the Rockets' season-opening victory over the Kings and was projected to miss three weeks. Instead, he was out only three games, all losses. "I've been out six days and it's tough to get myself back into great playing shape," McGrady said. "It's going to be a test to see how I handle it tonight. The back is fine, no pain, no tightness." McGrady returns just in time for head coach Jeff Van Gundy. "I think our game stinks when it counts the most," Van Gundy said. "It's random, undisciplined, helter-skelter, Rockets gone wild." McGrady will provide a steadying influence. "What I do is keep the team under control," McGrady said. "The ball is my hands more so than anybody else. I control the game and how it's played."</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2221817
