yeah, very bad, but doc and gabe still aren't worried about it, so hopefully it means that it's not too serious.

It has to be somewhat serious if hes missing the rest of the tourney. Maybe they dont want to get fans worried and its really worse...? [IMG]

did u read the article? they said that it was tmac's decision to sit out and that tmac just wants to be healthy for the season and not make it worse.

It is not good for a 24 year old to get back pains this early and miss games for it.....I feel T-mac career will be ended short just like Larry Johnson's..

^^ figured you would think that. i hope he plays until he's 39 or 40. i agree that having back pains is bad, but he wasn't bothered by it that much last year. the magic won't be relying so heavily on tmac this year as the previous 3 years, so hopefully that will help him out.

I'm not the only guy who thinks this..so stop thinking I hate Mcgrady when I don't...Did you follow LJ's career and what happened to him? he had to end his basketball because of back injuries....mcgrady missing the rest of this tourament is bad news and the fact he missed like 7 games last year because of his back or something like that....doesn't matter what help you have now..without mcgrady your team is nothing...so I would be worried about the rest of his career If I was you..

I want mcgrady to play til he is MJ's age but if the back pains keep coming up..his career will be over alot early than it is suppose to....which would suck for every fan in this league...if Kobe goes to jail..and mcgrady with his back..the league will be in a bad state...even with Lebron,Melo coming through...

Not all 7 games were due to his back.

He missed 1 because of his newborn and the last game of the year because doc sat him out. The other couple of games he missed because of his back was from an elbow by kobe not the same problems he was having.

The total games he has missed over the years must equal around 7....as it wasn't only this year he has had to miss games because of it...

it doesn't matter, tmac played in the tourny game last night. i am worried about tmac's career. i'm hoping that he won't have to carry the entire load for the team this year, because if he doesn't, his back will be better.

His back being better or worse won't have anything to do with if he has to carry his team or not...as that doesn't decide how is back is....

yes it does, because if he has to carry the load, he would have to work harder, which would put more stress on his back. if he doesn't have to carry as much, then he wouldn't put as much stress on his back, which would allow him to play longer.
