I have a wierd feeling that T-mac is going to have a Kobe like season next year. I think he will put up 30ppg. He will probably have a breakout game like Kobe did with 81 points. So my early MVP for next year is Tracy McGrady.
Hehe, nice a weird feeling. If T-Mac is averaging 30, how much is Yao averaging then? I thought it better if T-Mac is averaging 25 and Yao is averaging 20-22. T-Mac really should shoot a higher percentage, but with his bad back, he is more than certain to fall in love with his jumper.

I'd rather have Tmac score 26 a game and yao score 22 a game because if tmac scores 30 and yao scores 18 your still getting the same amount of points, but teams will have to think about yao's offense as well as tmac's if they both score in 20's. If the Rockets are 4rth seed or higher, than Tmac does win MVP.
I want Yao and Tmac both scoring around 24-26 ppg. I think that's achieveable, especially if they keep switching as the "main" offensive threat every other game or so. It would be great for the Rockets. However, I have absolutely no faith in TMac as I am pretty confident he will get injured yet again, but however, when he IS healthy, the Rockets will continue to win. I don't think Yao will miss even half the amount of games he missed this season but I don't know about Tmac...people say Vince is injury prone but I think TMac is much more injury prone then Vince; now anyway.
I know T-Mac will average more than Yao, it's just if Yao will average more than 20 if T-Mac scores over 30. It would be better if both were over 20's, so then other teams would have to try and stop both guys. Inside and outside. But, we'll see, I think he'll have a good season.
If Yao isn't playing well/is injured and T-Mac has recovered from his back injury, he might have an explosive game (60 points), although I doubt it. The team should make sure Yao gets his points too (obviously). I loved Yao last season.
TMac most likely won't recede. His stats can only get better but the main thing is he will still need to get his guys involved, especially Yao. If he does play like Kobe and averages 35 points, Yao would be like Lamar Odom with 15 or so. Like others in this thread, I'd prefer for both Yao and TMac to be in the 20's, with both combining for 50-60 points a night.

It's not the same situation. Odom is a Triple-Double-threat-Foward, he doesn't have to worry about averaging 22 PPG like Yao.
I think TMac will average in the high 20's with Yao in the low 20's. If TMac has a healthy season and Yao plays like he did after the All-Star game, watch out.

So T-Mac prove me wrong! SHOW ME YOU GOT HEART!!!!!
i think it is seeing 1 time he got 13 points in 30 seconds to win the game if he works that hard he will have 200 points jk jk but he could have a high scored game
T-Mac and Kobe arent in the same situation... Kobe has no one around him, where as T-Mac has Yao. I dont think T-mac will score anywhere close to 81...

It would be much better if TMac averages 25-ish, Yao averages 22-ish and another couple players (Howard/Alston/Battier) average about 11-13. Throw in 2-3 players off the bench (Sura, Head, etc..) who score around 8-10 points, and the team is good for about 100 points/game. I dunno, the team looked pretty strong last season and the biggest losses so far has been losing Wesley (getting far too old) and Swift (good once every 3-4 games). They've added Battier (leader the team was missing with Sura out), Snyder, V-Span, and Novak. They should be much improved next season, and if Spanoulis pans out they could challenge for that 4th playoff spot.
Here are the things the Rockets are hoping for Tmac is healthy and averages 25 ppg yao is healthy and averages 22 ppg /10 rebounds shane batter gives the team a solid 13 ppg/7 rebounds along with a superb defense Rafer Alston gives 11 ppg/7 assists Juwan Howard gives the team 10 ppg/5 rebounds Luther Head as the 6th man gives 10 ppg Kirk Snyder gives the team 9 ppg Chuck hayes gives 5ppg/ 7 rebounds vspan pans out and becomes a minor threat off the bench If all goes well and as expected we should be averaging above a 100 ppg because we have added many offensive threats. But as we all know it wont...
disagree, if vspan pans out he will be a major contributor off the bench and will potentially challenge for the starting PG spot. If he doesn't quite pan out, he will be a minor contributor off the bench.
