"Gosder Cherilus walked past Lawrence Jackson on the Lions' sideline one Sunday last year and did a double take. Jackson had just come off the field after a successful defensive series when he grabbed what appeared to be a notebook from under a bench and began scribbling furiously. "What are you doing?" Cherilus asked before hustling onto the field. After the game, Jackson told Cherilus about the new self-scouting system he was using to help chronicle and critique his pass-rush moves.
