<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...NFL&id=2305The Bills are reportedly close to trading strong-side linebacker Takeo Spikes to an unnamed team.Spikes, 30, is coming off a mediocre 2006 campaign and entering the final two years of his deal but should be healthy now a full year removed from his torn Achilles'. Keith Ellison, a sixth-round pick last year, will pick up one outside linebacker position when Spikes departs.</div>First guess of a destination would probably be the Giants after the Al Wilson trade fell through, and being that they desperately need 2 outside linebackers. Can't see a 30 year old Linebacker coming off of 2 injuries will get much in a trade though.

I wouldn't mind if the Rams traded for him (pending on the price). 30 isn't old really at all, and he has great upside.

I don't know many 30 year old players with "Great upside" He's had injury problems recently. I wouldn't give up more then a 4th rounder.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Eagles are reportedly the favorites to land Takeo Spikes.Interesting fit. Philly could use an outside linebacker and they did a nice job rehabbing Jeremiah Trotter's career a few years ago. The Giants have also showed interest.</div>I'm iffy on this. We have decent but unspectacular depth should he go down, and since he is (or should be) a one-year player here, we can probably draft an LB and not worry about pushing him into the starting lineup, as Spikes would provide a nice bridge.Spikes / RookieTrotter / GaitherMcCoy / Gocong And the fact that Gaither and Spikes can play all three spots helps greatly. Gocong and McCoy would then be reduced to situational role-players, something I think they'd strive at (especially due to the fact that Gocong would then get more reps at DE, further improving our flexibility). So bringing him in can definitely be a great move. However he IS getting older and is a good bet to get hurt, so we just need to make sure we're confident in our young guys behind him. But honestly, the only reason I'd say no is because of the fact that we'd have to trade something to get him. I wouldn't want to give up more than a 5th (we dont have a 4th), but since we only have 6 picks I don't think we'll be trading picks. I heard of a Darwin Walker for Spikes swap which would be amazing being that we just brought in Reagor, who if healthy is an upgrade over Walker anyway.Without Walker, the defensive line would still look pretty nasty..Jevon Kearse / Juqua Thomas / Chris GocongMike Patterson / ReagorBrodrick Bunkley / Sam Rayburn / LaJuan RamseyDarren Howard / Trent Cole

I doubt the Bills have any interest in Darius Walker, as the original report had said the Bills were looking for a Draft Pick in return.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Spikes has been scouting potential trade partners, with the approval of the Bills, who have had him on the trade block. Any willing partner Spikes found, of course, has to meet the Bills? trade demand, which is expected to be draft-pick compensation. </div>http://www.buffalonews.com/111/story/39588.htmlNot to mention Darius Walker is always the fall guy for any trade rumor that has anything to do with Philly, weather it makes sense or not, which in this case it doesn't make any sense as just last Offseason the Bills had signed Larry Tripplett and drafted John McCargo in the First Round, so their DT position is set for a while they're not going to give up on McCargo after one injury-plagued season.
