I wanted to make a thread for posters to go on record for people who think this is a crazy deal for the Lakers and it's going to blow up in their face. By putting your name on the list you have to agree to sport a signature saying 'I was wrong about Kwame Brown' for one week, IF he turns out to be a good player on the Lakers. Good is a broad term, so I think a fair comparison would be how Chris Mihm did last year for the Lakers. 9.8 PPG :: 6.7 RPG :: 1.4 BPG :: .7 APG :: 50.7 FG% :: 67.8 FT% :: 24.9 MPG So with those numbers as the measuring stick, Kwame Brown must be better in 3 out of the 5 categories listed above by the end of the year.

But wait, I'm still confused, are you saying if Brown averages better numbers in 3 of those categories above then you get smacked with the sig?

Which 5? 1. PPG 2. RPG 3. BPG 4. APG. 5. FG% 6. FT% 7. MPG If some1 loses, they must put I was wrong about Kwame. If some1 wins, what happens?
PPG 12.2 RPG 4.1 BPG 0.5 APG 2.3 FG% .560 FT% .745 MPG 26.7 I believe he will get alot more points than last season because Gilbert Arenas and Larry Hughes were straight ball hogs and will give Kwame more of a chance to shine in the paint. I could be wrong thought.
I think Kwame will do well with the Lakers. In fact, I'll be cheering him on during the games. I'll wear a sig for two weeks that says I was stupid to believe Kwame could do it, if he is a failure this upcoming season.. JUST let me know...
I say Kwame has to outperform certain stats Caron Butler put up last year. After all,the trade was Butler for Brown and the knock on this trade is that the Lakers got back less than they gave.Ill gladly bear whatever phrase youd like if Kwame averages more points per game than Butler did last year.
I think kwame will do fine on the Lakers. Kobe's smart enough to know that they need to establish a presence inside- Look for him to spoon feed brown for the first month or two of the season to get his confidence up. Lamar will do the same, as will Daniels- cross our fingers they get him.
If he comes, he will do better than Mihm but I would still prefer Caron to stay. Mihm is pathetic and he can't be a measuring stick. The Lakers line up this year will be better so I think the expected stats should move up.
