6 times in a 7 year period Juan Marichal won over 20 games & NEVER won a Cy Young. Unfortunately up until the late 60s only 1 Cy Young was given out for both leagues. And in Marichal's greatest seasons 1963 (25-8), 1964 (21-8), 1965 22-13), 1966 (25-6), 1968 (26-9) & 1969 (21-11) He was up against guys named Koufax, Gibson & Seaver.

Yeah, The Dominican Dandy, unfortunately never won a Cy Young--- but he was every bit as great as any other pitcher from his era...maybe you can say Koufax was "better".

Marichal threw different pitches from different angles ....with the classic high leg kick.
    He was fabulous.

Being a Giant fan growing up I loved watching this guy pitch but,The Johnny Roseboro incident didn't exactly endear him to anyone either.

Could you imagine "Big Sloppi" trying to dig in against Marichal ?

Honestly I think guys like Marichal, Gibson & Seaver would have made Shrek look like a 230 hitter.
