I must say that I do agree with him on some points, but on Gilly, he is way to harsh IMO. <font size="1"><font color="red">Next time please post 2-3 paragraphs from the article and then hyperlink it. Didn't really say anything we don't know, but seemed to make too many of his decisions based on one game. One thing I agree with though is about Arenas, he always goes for the touchdown pass as opposed to the simple pass that can get you a bucket. I do not agree that Hughes is the most willing to pass, I think he's leading the team in assists, but Arenas always brings the ball up and then let's Hughes ru nthe offense while he focuses more on getting open and trying to score. It's looks more like the teams strategy as opposed to him just wanting to shoot. He doesn't say too much wrong in the article, the team is weak defensively, and very good offensively, and needs some work, but he fails to mention that with the re0emergence of Kwame, the team will have good interior defense, and will not just have a trio, but 4 scorers.
The main problem with that article is that he attacks the Wizards shamelessly - for being good. I mean, where have we been the last 7 years? No where. Bottom of the barrel. So why would he feel the need to launch a full on attack of the Wizards? We're playing above expectations, and in sports, that's really all that matters. He mentioned all those teams with great trios of scorers, then tried to burst our bubble by saying (get this) only two won the championship! Only 2! If the Wizards even sniffed championship talk I'd have to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. And all those teams he mentioned were decent teams. I know the Bucks' trio, while not getting to the Finals, made the ECF and were damn close to representing the East on the big stage. And if we can even think beyond the first round, that would be a bigger step for this franchise than anyone would have even thought to think to hope before the season started. That guy seems to me to be an old guy with a bug up his ass. Really. He went on a full out attack of a team that is having its best season in the last 20 years. As if they were getting more credit than they are due. We know they can't play defense. We know they are guard oriented, selfish, and often take bad shots. But something must be right to be winning 56% of your games. All you need to do in this league, especially the East, is beat the teams that are worse than you, and you'll be in the playoffs. Beat the bad teams. You just can't have breakdowns. And so far they've accomplished that. Nobody's calling them Eastern Champions. It's nice to be in it for once.
More negativity through the media..what else is new..but I kind of agree. Jamison is very overrated IMO, he plays no D..and settles for outside Jumpers too much... I disagree with his point on Arenas though, sure he should be averaging more assists...but I think he passes enough...he has won us many games with his shooting..why stop that?
