It was the same for games 3 and 4... Instead of scalpers making a killing, the Blazers are, and I'm somewhat ok with that. $50 is probably close to market value, however, it sucks for the die-hards that get priced out.
You have no idea how incredibly expensive it is in Los Angeles to watch the Lakers in the playoffs. Kingspeed just got me 2 tickets on section 113, 4 rows back. The Staples Center would be roughly $1,000 each for those very same tickets.
Yeah I'm glad the Blazers are charging more and you can possibly get a chance to buy tickets. Its stupid when they are priced so low they all sell out in 3 minutes by scalpers. Allen has lost millions on this team he should be able to sell tickets for going market prices. On a side note, I think they should vary prices within a section. Its silly to have the price be the same for a ticket in the center of the first row be the same as 25 rows up way off to the side. Perhaps this is logistically more complicated then the extra revenue is worth, but similar to how they vary prices based on demand to see the opponent I think its a good idea.
I hooked up friends with tan tickets game 3 and 4. In addition to my regular pair of seats, the Blazers allowed me to pick up an additional 4 tans for every game at the RG. For game 6, I put them on Stubhub and they were sold almost instantly at $65 each.
The secondary market is insane right now. Lowest ticket I can find on SeatGeek is $78 for Section 325, Row R, and I'm considering paying $400 for Section 101. EDIT - just found Section 116, Row L for $200, so I had to buy it.
I could have gotten them for face value ($200 or so) at staples, but its probably too late now, I'd have to call them early (4 rows from the floor behind the basket). if we play them next round I can ask around, although I don't like watching blazer games against the lakers, its too hostile an environment.
My section 319 row A's just sold on Stubhub for $145 each. I put $150 each on MGB's pair and hope they sell during the game tonight.
I guess I just never thought I would see the day when nosebleeds non Conference final games are almost the same price as a ticket into Autzen.
I'm still happy with my buy, but now the 3 other seats are going for $128. Oh well... http://seatgeek.com/nba-western-con...-6-home-game-3-tickets/nba/2011-04-28/530398/
Great site! Sold all six of the seats I had. Waiting till the pair I have up for MGB sells before buying one that I will use. I have it at $99 each, which works out to around face value after the buyer pays fees. Hopefully they are not scared of them being handicapped seats.
I actually was the first time I bought them, and I felt guilty sitting there the entire game. The second time, with my youngest daughter, I was over it.
I woud move if they ever asked me. Might be sitting there tomorrow night if the prices keep going down.
