Sit Dame and CJ as much as possible this year. Get a lottery pick. Trade Dame and CJ in the offseason for lottery picks.

Nah, it's over. We need to start now. The Dame era is over. We aren't getting help for him. Go wholesale on draft picks now. I'm just getting out front on this. You guys will come around.

If we want to tank, wouldn't we trade them ASAP?

Every year the tank to success idea eventually arises. This year, due to the poor start, it’s earlier than ever.

At his point over half the teams in the league are 500 or under.

You know how many teams are underperforming? The Hawks should just blow it up then too. Philly needs to blow it up too and trade Embiid, right? Dallas should trade Luka, Lakers Lebron and AD, but I digest. Clippers: blow it up.
You should be saying "some of those teams have injuries"
    so does portland

Paolo Banchero or Jabari Smith. When they’re around 30 in there prime and things aren’t looking so good. We can just flip them for a top 3 pick. Just blow it up all over again. Not a fan of this thinking.

Again, what are we blowing up? Love Dame, but we are tied for the #6/7 spot in the Lottery. We scrape by to get into the Playoffs or get swept out when we get there. It doesn't seem like we are setting fire to something that is this well oiled machine...

I hope they make big trades that are designed to set Dame up to compete for a title when he comes back healthy. What happens with this years pick is of little consequence.

If we have it we pick for someone else and combine that recently drafted player with someone else to get a win now piece.

If it goes to the Bulls because we make the playoffs that frees up all of our future picks to trade for win now players.

My favorite idea is sending someone to the Bulls (RoCo or Larry make the most sense) and get the pick back freeing up all future picks starting with the 2023 pick instead of if the Bulls keep the pick and the soonest pick we can trade in the off season is 2024 or later.

The only thing that matters is the roster we build to try and contend next season and the following 3-5 seasons. The chances that us tanking get us a player that impacts our ability to contend immediately are very slim... so the tank really doesn't pull at me the way it does some of you.

We’ve got enough assets to re-engineer this team for Dame. I like the idea of playing Naz in the back court with Dame.
