<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Undrafted rookie guard Donell Taylor saw his first regular season action in Wednesday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Taylor, who showed flashes of being a solid player during the preseason, played almost four minutes at the start of the second quarter before he was replaced by Gilbert Arenas. Taylor didn't register on the stat sheet.

"I wanted to give the rookie a taste," Wizards Coach Eddie Jordan said. "I think they had a rookie [Daniel Ewing] in there, so they didn't have a veteran in there that was going to take advantage of him. I thought it would be good to get him something at home. He was what I expected from a rookie with his energy and his quickness."

Jordan has a similar attitude about all of his players, as evidenced by his explanation for going with reserve center Calvin Booth during an important stretch of Saturday's win over the Orlando Magic. Booth had not played in the first two games and did not play Wednesday night.

"I don't like players, especially veteran guys, sitting over there not playing for a stretch of games," Jordan said. "I think it's important to keep guys involved."</div>
