Was Matthew Taylor's stunning 45-yard strike against Everton on Saturday better than that famous goal by David Beckham against Wimbledon a few years ago?

Sure Beckham's was from behind the half-way line, but Beckham had much less space, the ball was in a nice position on the floor, and the keeper was miles out of his goal.

Taylor hit the ball on the volley after it bounced a long way up in the air, he was under pressure from a defender, and Howard was barely out of his six yard box.

Beckham's goal has been named the best Premiership goal ever in numerous competitions, but in my opinion, Taylor's was better, let alone Alonso's.

Taylor's was just smacked, hardly any placement to it and was truly lucky to go in how it did. Can't take away how cool it looked though.
