I'm in an ongoing draft at another board, so picks are at a snail's pace. This is a 14 team league & I'm only 1 of 2 teams that have yet to draft a TE. We're currently halfway through round 12. Here's who's left at TE: Jeb Putzier Bubba Franks Doug Jolley Marcus Pollard Chris Cooley Ben Troupe Boo Williams Heath Miller Teyo Johnson I'm leaving the option open to taking 2 TEs. I'm leaning towards Putzier, Franks &/or Troupe. My roster thus far in order of round: Dillon RB Portis RB Wayne WR E Reed DP Burleson WR Delhomme QB Losman QB Ramsey QB K Williams DP Freeney DP Stallworth WR Benson RB
Take Bubba Franks. Putzier isn't the starter (Stephen Alexander is) and Troupe is hurt. If you take a second tight end, take a flier on Jerramy Stevens. I predict he goes absolutely apeshit this year.
As an aside, both Chris Cooley and Doug Jolley have tremendous sleeper potential this year. I still think Franks is the best "known commodity" on that list, but if you can get Stevens or Jolley or Cooley as a #2, you might be surprised later this year at the numbers they put up.
I will reveal part of my strategy from last nigght. If you are in a Yahoo league, you can use Cooley as an RB. Further, he is the pass catching TE in Gibbs' offense. When you add my 2 cents w/ Kenn there is allegedly no way you can lose.
Well Bubba & Pollard got taken b4 me, so chose Stevens. We have one last round to go, so I'll take Cooley as a backup.
