QUOTE

This is starting to get frustrating for coach Greg Schiano.

There are less than two weeks left before the Aug. 30 season opener against Buffalo, but the tight ends on his roster are taking gradual strides forward like they have all the time in the world.

Sophomore Shamar Graves and seniors Kevin Brock and Chris Rudanovic, all of whom have redshirted a year, haven't picked up enough of the offense to give Schiano the confidence to name one of them the starter. They all shows bursts of talent but will turn right back around and mess up moments later.

"It's inconsistent play," Schiano said. "There's guys that can play the position, and they do, but then the same guy will not play the position well. It's hard as a coach when you know that they can ... that's the thing that's discouraging.

Methinks Graves will end up first on the depth chart.

Rudanovic has all but locked up the starting spot.
