<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Clifford Ray's big break to coach in the NBA came with a catch -- and a toilet brush. Long before Ray was hired to tutor the Magic's 19-year-old rookie Dwight Howard, he was a man desperately looking to impart wisdom he learned in the trenches facing the likes of Wilt and Kareem. In 1987, Ray was given a part-time coaching job by the Dallas Mavericks. But his main duty at first was to run the team's fitness center, sweep the floors and make sure the bathrooms were clean. Talk about trenches. "Not many coaches have to scrub toilets to get their break in the NBA," Ray said. Ray did whatever he had to do. Since then, he has gained a reputation as the league's best roving big man's coach, working with the likes of Chris Webber, P.J. Brown, Adonal Foyle, Erick Dampier and Howard. He's coached with the Mavericks, the New Jersey Nets, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavs -- and they all finished either first or second in rebounding during his stay.</div> Source
I love Ray he is animated and very loud. He is doing a great job i hope he stays. Plus he said he liked working with JD maybe if JD can get his act together he can stay(Nelson to Pg very nice). What we need now is a plan to get the GM in some moves with making smart for the team deals but hiring Ray was a very good one.
