    1. Jets: 125 million, is this before or after Brett retired?
    2. What happens if a team isn't in compliance with it?

    that is before Favre retired....the Jets have about $112 on their cap if he stays retired....if a team circumvents the cap, the NFL assesses a penalty....there have been a few such penalties in history, but not because a team was over the cap....the broncos lost draft picks one year because they had given John Elway some extra things that werent in his contract in an attempt to circumvent....Lets say for instance the Redskins do nothing and stay over: Im guessing it would start with a daily fine based on how much they are over, and if they stayed over, it would become a draft pick penalty situation....

    Well I heard NY plans on franchising Jacobs, so that's out... yup time to oven the vault on Haynesworth.
