Dont we already know who's the MVP on the teams. We know its JKidd for Net, AI for Philly etc... There might be a few exceptions like the Heat: Wade/Odom or Lakers: Kobe/Shaq or Detroit: Wallace/Hamilton. But besides that its obvious who's the MVP majority of the other teams. So we're basically coming up with the same answers..
Eastern Conference New Jersey: Jason Kidd New York: Stephon Marbury Boston: Paul Pierce Miami: Eddie Jones Philadelphia: Allen Iverson Washington: Gilbert Arenas Orlando: Tracy McGrady Indiana: Jermaine O'Neal Detroit: Ben Wallace Milwaukee: Michael Redd New Orleans: Baron Davis Toronto: Vince Carter Cleveland: Lebron James Atlanta: Jason Terry Chicago: Jamal Crawford Western Conference Minnesota: Kevin Garnett Dallas: Dirk Nowitzki San Antonio: Tim Duncan Memphis: Pao Gasol Houston: Yao Ming Denver: Carmelo Anthony Utah: Andrei Kirilenko Sacramento: Peja Stojakovic L.A. Lakers: Virtual tie between Shaq and Kobe* Portland: Zach Randolph Seattle: Ray Allen L.A. Clippers: Quentin Richardson Golden State: Jason Richardson Phoenix: Shawn Marion
Eastern Conference New Jersey: Jason Kidd - He is the foundation of that team New York: Stephon Marbury - He is soon to be "do it all" man in NYC Boston: Paul Pierce - Other team's know he is taking the shot, yet they still can't stop him. Miami: Dwayne Wade - "Under the radar" this year due to Lebron and Melo. This guy is a big time performer. Philadelphia: Allen Iverson - He isn't the best example of a team leader however he is the most valuable person on that team. Washington: Jerry Stackhouse - See Iverson. Orlando: Tracy McGrady - Great player, but can't win games. Indiana: Jermaine O'Neal - Easily the most dominant big man in the East Detroit: Ben Wallace - Freak of nature. Milwaukee: Michael Redd - Emerging to be the "go-to" guy for this team New Orleans: Baron Davis - Leading MVP canidate at the beginning of the season. Toronto: Vince Carter - Needs to stay healthy though. Cleveland: Lebron James - No one thought someone this young could be this good. Atlanta: Nobody - Everything is wrong in Atlanta. Chicago: Kirt Hinrich - This boy can ball. One of the few bright spots on this team. Western Conference Minnesota: Kevin Garnett - MVP Dallas: Dirk Nowitski - 7 footer that can drain the three better than most guards. San Antonio: Tim Duncan - No comment needed. Memphis: Hubie Brown - He is a basketball coaching "god" Houston: Yao Ming - When he plays well they win; when he doesnt, they lose. Denver: Carmelo Anthony - He is leading his team now into a playoff run. Utah: Jerry Sloan - This team should not be anywhere near where they are. Give credit so Jerry. Sacramento: Peja Stoyakovic - He is leading his team in the absence of Webber. Watch when Webber comes back, this teams doesn't win like they have been. L.A. Lakers: Shaq - Easily the most dominant player in the game. Portland: Zach Randolph - Most Improved Player Seattle: Ray Allen - Makes big shots at big times L.A. Clippers: Elton Brand - "Underrated" Can get you 20-12 every night. Golden State: Nick Van Exel - When he is healthy, he is hard to stop in the 4th quarter. Phoenix: Amare Stoudamire - I can only think of one word to describe him : "Beast"
Since some of them Are obvious, we can take out the Obvious team so only do it for the less obvious ones. Eastern Conference Miami: Washington: Indiana: Detroit: Toronto: Cleveland: Atlanta: Chicago: Western Conference Dallas: Houston: Denver: Sacremento: (Peja, Miller, Divac) L.A. Lakers: ( I know some will say KB) L.A. Clippers: Phoenix: Maybe we should just do those, that would eliminate the obvious ones
Eastern Conference New Jersey: Jason Kidd New York: Stephon Marbury Boston: Paul Pierce Miami: Dwayne Wade Philadelphia: Allen Iverson Washington: Gilbert Arenas Orlando: Tracy McGrady Indiana: Jermaine O'Neal Detroit: Ben Wallace Milwaukee: Michael Redd New Orleans: Baron Davis Toronto: Vince Carter Cleveland: Lebron James Atlanta: Jason Terry Chicago: Not sure Western Conference Minnesota: Kevin Garnett Dallas: Dirk Nowitzki San Antonio: Tim Duncan Memphis: Pau Gasol Houston: Steve Francis Denver: Carmelo Anthony Utah: Not sure Sacramento: Peja Stojakovic L.A. My opinion Sixers Eric Snow based on what he has brought to the team on the floor oof the floor and his ability to stay awya form the injury list. Lakers Kobe Bryant based upon what he has done for the team before aquisitions, and during his injuries. Kobe can create for himself and shaq needs to be set up that is why I chose kobe over Shaq. Orlando Tracy Mcgrady because that team is role players and T-mac plays to big of a role there to be exempt. Miami Dwayne Wade because of his ability to create for himself and his teammates at such a young age. Cavaliers Lebron James because of his leadership and ability to fight off the press and do his job so well. I only wanted to talk of a few so heres my list.
Eastern Conference New Jersey:J Kidd New York:Stephon Bostonaul Pierce Miami:dwyane Wade Philadelphia:AI Washington:Areanas Orlando:T-Mac Indiana:Jermai O'Neal Detroit:Billups Milwaukee:Redd New Orleans:B Davis Toronto:VC Cleveland:Lebron Atlanta:J.Terry Chicago:Jamal Crawford Western Conference Minnesota:KG Dallas:dirk Nowitski San Antonio:Tim Duncan Memphis:White Choclate Houston:Yao Denver:Melo Utah:Kirelinko Sacramentoeja L.A. Lakers:Shaq Portland:Randolph Seattle:Ray Allen L.A. Clippers:Elton Brand Golden State:J-Rich Phoenix:Amare
Eastern Conference New Jersey: Jason Kidd (duh) New York: Stephon Marbury (gets the offense running much better nowadays) Boston: Paul Pierce (duh) Miami: Dwyane Wade (rookie is so unstoppable he's become the go-to guy for this team) Philadelphia: Allen Iverson (duh) Washington: Gilbert Arenas (who do you wanna pick here, Kwame Brown?) Orlando: Tracy McGrady (duh) Indiana: Jermaine O'Neal (over Artest, the definite go-to guy of this team, and certainly the most dominant low-post player in the East) Detroit: Richard Hamilton (slightly over scary-defensive Wallace for his much more crunch performance) Milwaukee: Michael Redd (the only all star representative from this team) New Orleans: Baron Davis (over Magloire because..... it's Jamal Magloire!) Toronto: Vince Carter (duh) Cleveland: LeBron James (over Boozer, kid wins the battle of pressure and gets this team up and running, more importantly gives this team a hope to win and even reach playoffs) Atlanta: Jason Terry (because Abdur Rahim and Rasheed Wallace were sent packing) Chicago: Kirk Hinrich (the best defender on the team, gives 110% every time, the damn best player on that team full of lazys) Western Conference Minnesota: Kevin Garnett (duh) Dallas: Steve Nash (slightly over Nowitzki because he's the one who runs this team full of weapons.... Dirk has become one of the weapons but he is not running the show and not responsible for keeping teammates happy) San Antonio: Tim Duncan (duh) Memphis: James Posey (defensive anchor gets a slight nod over Gasol, who is just one of the weapons they have) Houston: Yao Ming (Steve Francis' disapperaring act this season is not gonna get him the MVP honor of his team) Denver: Carmelo Anthony (together with James, has won four consecutive Rookie of The Month honors... is close to being unstoppable... definitely the leader of his team) Utah: Andrei Kirilenko (one of the better defensive players in the L... becoming one of the better offensive players too... at such a young age it's scary) Sacramento: Predrag Stojakovic (Chris who? For this season, it's definitely Peja that should win this honor because he's been carrying the offense load on his shoulders without Webber, and his team has been successful... should be considered for the season MVP award) L.A. Lakers: Shaquille O'Neal (Kobe is close, I'm sure if he resigns this will be his in maybe one or two seasons, but as long as Shaq can still bang and dunk down low this is still his team) Portland: Zach Randolph (has been carrying the team's offense load all season) Seattle: Ray Allen (the most consistent player on the team, unlike Lewis who earlier in the season scored 50 in Japan and scored 12 the next) L.A. Clippers: Elton Brand (over Maggette who is just coming into his own) Golden State: Jason Richardson (if he keeps improving his game he can be an all star one day... hopefully his improved play this season isn't motivated by hopes for a fat contract alone) Phoenix: Amare Stoudemire (duh)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PupMelo:</div><div class="quote_post">Memphis: James Posey (defensive anchor gets a slight nod over Gasol, who is just one of the weapons they have)</div> Good to see someone recognise this. I have a feeling most Memphis fans would name Posey their MVP, especially after his performances of late.
Eastern Conference New Jersey: Jason Kidd New York: Stephon Marbury Boston: Paul Pierce Miami: Dwayne Wade Philadelphia: Allen Iverson Washington: Gilbert Arenas Orlando: Tracy MacGrady Indiana:Jermaine O'Neal Detroit: Ben Wallace Milwaukee: Michael Redd New Orleans: Baron Davis Toronto: Vince Carter Cleveland: LeBron James Atlanta: Jason Terry Chicago: Kirk Hinrich Western Conference Minnesota: Kevin Garnett Dallas: Steve Nash San Antonio: Tim Duncan Memphis: Pau Gasol Houston: Yao Ming Denver: Carmelo Anthony Utah: Andrei Kirilenko Sacramento: Peja Stojakovic L.A. Lakers: Tie between Shaq and Kobe Portland: Zach Randolph Seattle: Ray Allen L.A. Clippers: Elton Brand Golden State: Erick Dampier Phoenix: Shawn Marion Where's the love for Dampier? He's been their most consistent player this year, it's a shame he's overlooked by J-Rich simply because of his flashy play.
Eastern Conference New Jersey: Kidd New York: Starbury Boston: P-Double Miami: Odom Philadelphia: AI Washington: Hughes Orlando: McGrady Indiana: JO Detroit: Billups Milwaukee: Redd New Orleans: B-Diddy Toronto: Vince Cleveland: Lebron Atlanta: Terry Chicago: Hinrich Western Conference Minnesota: KG Dallas: Nash San Antonio: Duncan Memphis: Posey Houston: Yao Denver: Melo Utah: AK47 Sacramento: Peja L.A. Lakers: Shaq Portland: Z-Bo Seattle: Raygun L.A. Clippers: Brand Golden State: J-Rich Phoenix: Matrix
Eastern Conference New Jersey: JKidd New York: Steph Boston: Paul Pierce Miami: Dwyane Wade Philadelphia: Iverson Washington: Arenas Orlando: McGrady Indiana: Jermaine O'Neal Detroit: Ben Wallace Milwaukee: Michael Redd New Orleans: Baron Davis Toronto: Vince Carter Cleveland: LeBron Atlanta: Bobby Sura... I mean, Jason Terry. Chicago: Kirk Hinrich Western Conference Minnesota: Kevin Garnett Dallas: Dirk Nowitzki San Antonio: Tim Duncan Memphis: James Posey (Sir Dez, you may note I pointed this out on BF not two weeks ago ) Houston: Yao Ming Denver: Andre Miller. Yep. Dre f'n Miller. Flame away. The Nuggets wouldn't be where they are now if it weren't for this guy running the show. Utah: Andrei Kirilenko Sacramento: Peja Stojakovic L.A. Lakers: Shaquille O'Neal Portland: Zach Randolph Seattle: Ray Allen L.A. Clippers: Elton Brand Golden State: Jason Richardson Phoenix: Amare Interestingly, although not surprising, 13 of the 15 Eastern MVPs play the PG, SG or SF spots... with 9 of the 14 Western MVPs being big men.
