I recently had a power surge and my old surge protector now needs to be replaced. (Being that it's as old as I am) I spent 1200 on a tower 6 months ago, and on black friday I got a real good deal on a monitor. Anyone have suggestions on a surge protector? Also speakers for a computer? I don't feel like using a headset if I'm watching movies/blazer games etc. So I need some speakers as my monitor doesn't have built in speakers.
Some of the best speakers I found for a desktop are ones by Klipsch and Altec Lansing. I have been using the Altec Lansing ATP3 which consists of 2 satellites and a subwoofer and a pretty good bang for the buck. The Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 are even better but a bit more expensive.
I would only buy a power bar/ surge protector from a reputable company and brand, not Amazon either. Power bars / surge protectors are often cheap Chinese knock off or fakes that don't work like they should. Anything legit will be ok.
