Ted Nolan was hired as head coach of the Latvian national team for the upcoming season, the Latvian Hockey Federation announced on Wednesday. Nolan, 53, is expected to sign his contract in the upcoming days and arrive in Riga by the end of the month. "We were looking for a neutral, authoritative coach with lots of experience and good hockey knowledge," LHF president Kirovs Lipmans said, according the the International Ice Hockey Federation.
