By Bryan Hoch / MLB.com BOSTON -- Mark Teixeira homered before and after the rains came, and Francisco Cervelli drove in three runs to pace the Yankees' offensive attack in a 14-3 victory over the Red Sox on Saturday at Fenway Park. Teixeira cracked a solo shot to give New York the lead off Boston starter Clay Buchholz in the fifth and belted another in the seventh off Ramon Ramirez, as the slugging first baseman doubled his homer output for the season in one afternoon. With the Red Sox using reserve outfielder Jonathan Van Every to pitch the ninth, Teixeira belted a two-run homer off the light tower above the Green Monster. Playing once again behind the plate in place of Jorge Posada, Cervelli notched five RBIs with a pair of singles, notching a run-scoring hit in the fourth and another in the fifth that chased home two runs, helping New York to its sixth consecutive victory. Left-hander CC Sabathia started for New York and was one out shy of qualifying for a decision in the fifth inning when the skies opened up, chasing the Yankees off the field. After walking two and striking out four in a three-run four-hit outing, Sabathia did not return after a delay of one hour and 14 minutes. Neither did Buchholz, who was hit for six runs (five earned) on nine hits in five innings. In the second, Teixeira drove in his first of three runs with a RBI single and Alex Rodriguez added a run-scoring smash that ate up third baseman Adrian Beltre. Sabathia was hit for two home runs in the third inning, a solo shot to Darnell McDonald and a two-run shot to former Indians batterymate Victor Martinez, which followed a fastball that hit Dustin Pedroia in the rear end -- a potential message after two Yankees were hit by Josh Beckett on Friday. Yankees right-hander Alfredo Aceves relieved Sabathia after the delay, but he soon joined the ranks of the walking wounded, exiting in the sixth after landing awkwardly at the base of the mound. Nick Swisher added an RBI single for New York.
