Who do you think will be the better point guard, and who would you take right now?I'll post my take later.

i'll take telfair. He has some of the best vision in the game already, and he creates so many mismatches. He will be an all-star. Telfair will be a pretty good player, but not up to Livingston's level.

I like how Livingston has played in his first two years. His injuries limited him as well as his playing time. Once he starts he will be a premier guard.

Livingston. If he can just bulk up and combine that with the talent he has he could eventually become an elite PG in the league. I don't like Telfair. He seems to be another one of those cancer PGs(Mamrbury,Francise, etc.)

As of right now, this year, Telfair. In the future, if Livingston can stay injury-free I don't see how he doesn't become one of the best players in the entire NBA. He has it all. He's a 6'7'' PG, very athletic, overlooked defensively, has a decent post game for his build, always heads up, good playmaker, etc. etc. etc. He has all the god-given talent, he just needs to get past these health issues (and maybe gain a few lbs.) and I think he is going to be an unbelievable player. I think Telfair will be good, but if Livingston reaches anywhere close to his full potential, there won't be many guards you will be able to compare with him.

Right now I take Telfair. Both of them have tons and tons of potential, but if Livingston can bulk up and stay injury free he could be one of the truest PG's in the league. He's bigger than every PG in the league, and he IS one of the best passers in the league. Telfair wasen't in a very good situation in Portland, but being in Boston could be huge for Telfair. Telfair is very quick, and he can get to the hoop, but he needs to develop more of an outside shot to become a consistent scoring threat. The same goes for Livingston; he needs to work on his jumper and outside shot. He is in a good situation because he gets to play behind Sam Cassell, a winner, and a great player. Livingston could end up being one of the best PG's of this decade, IF he lives up to his potential. Right Now: TelfairFuture: Livingston

I will take Livingston. He has such a big advantage because he is a 6 7 pointguard. He will have a mismatch on the defender everytime. He has some of the best court vision in the game at a very young age. He is also a very under control player IMO. More than Telfair at least. His mid range is better than Sebastians as well. The only thing that I think bassy has on Shaun at this point is getting to the bucket and finishing. I think that Livingston is better now AND will have a better future.

Livingston and it probably isn't close in my book.I think Telfair is a decent player, but really isn't a good PG. He is quick, but has no shot. He plays out of control too often.Livingston has the ability to be one of the best PG's we've seen. He has to grow, but I think he is just as good as Telfair right now and he has a higher ceiling.

I'll take Shaun Livingston because he has more potential and is as good as passer as Bassy is only that Shaun Livingston has that 6'6-6'7 body that puts him over the top. The only thing that stops Shaun from becoming an impact player already is his lack of muscle but as the years progress I think he should have no problem adding muscle and weight so he doesn't get pushed around. As of now Basy and Livingston can both guard each other because Bassy is average height pg but it also has more muscle than Livingston. You can add muscle and weight but you can't add height so once Livingston adds some weight he should become an all star in this league.

Sebastian Telfair is completley overrated. He's not a good shooter, plays out of control and makes things harder than they need to be. He has good vision and he's a good passer but I think the Blazers gave up on him for a reason...Rajon Rondo is the future at PG for Boston. Livingston is still too frail but at 6'7" has a big advantage...he needs to finish stronger but shows flashes of great ability and defense. I would go with Livingston.
