with no game this Saturday I'll probably watch this 15 times STOMP
Stomp, So what are your impressions of Joe Walker, Prevot and Wogan? In the first quarter how did you like our line play on O and D? Do you think the experts are right when they say we need a 6+ foot receiver to add the final touch to our offensive arsenal or do you think Huff, Addison and Lowe are enough? I'd also love to see Stanford put that final exclamation point on this assault!
and 6'2 Chance Allen and 6'2 BJ Kelley not to mention 6'4 starter Daryle Hawkins... hell Josh Huff is 5'11. Last year they signed 6'2 Darren Carrington and 6'0 Devon Allen. I haven't read any "experts" saying Oregon's offensive arsenal is lacking big receivers or really much of anything STOMP
I think we're lacking a 6'4 beast receiver, but we have some huge tight ends so I think it balances out.
I was noticing what Hawkins was doing to Tennessee DBs during some of the run highlights... pretty much moving them off the TV screen. And Mariota did manage to throw for 456 yards and 4 TDs. You aside, I'm not sure why any "expert" would think the WR core is is lacking at anything STOMP
I'm talking about a Julio Jones type receiver. The big prototypical receiver that teams covet in the NFL. Do we have one that I'm unaware of? I'm not knocking our receiving corps. I think they're doing just fine. Huff has bee money this year.
The college game day crews, and espn college football shows, seem to think we don't have a big threat receiver like Manziel has at A&M. I disagree and when Stanford is back that should be answered but HUFF, Addison and Hawkins are legit! Don't see their points. That said I'd like to see any team in the nation cover Mundt, Colt, Huff, DAT, Marcus and Addison when we are in full speed. Where do you assign the help? DAT and Marcus can kill you on the ground, Marcus can crush you in the air. Colt and Mundt will take two lb's and a safety and Huff has to have a man on him at all times. So what happens? Oh yeah..... Addison is having a snow cone in the end zone waiting for the ball to arrive completely unguarded!
