"Titans center Eugene Amano stood at his locker on Thursday afternoon sporting a confident smile and feeling like a survivor. Fresh in his mind was an offseason in which the Titans interviewed five candidates for his job. Yet here was Amano, still holding down the position, with no plans to give it up. "I have the mind-set that I am still running the show at center," Amano said. "And until I am told otherwise, I am going to believe that." The 30-year-old veteran noted that he'd been working extra hard. "With old age comes a lot of issues, you know?" he said. "But my body has held up well. I'm feeling good.""
