Every day that Terrell Owens remains unsigned, more ideas come out of the woodwork as to where he could land, many of which can be classified as the "throw a pile against the wall and see if anything sticks" variety. Then, there are those that make at least a scintilla of sense. The latest idea, courtesy of Isaac Schamis of Sports Agent Blog, is for the Houston Texans to sign T.O., in order to function as a secondary receiving option behind Andre Johnson. While nothing's impossible, the team re-signed Kevin Walter this offseason already, knowing full well that Owens was available. Moreover, fourth-year man Jacoby Jones became a key option for Matt Schaub in 2009, and could be poised for a breakout, in the opinion of Bill Barnwell of the Football Outsiders (see below). Generally, we'd have to toss this one in the unlikely pile. - Tim Kavanagh
The New York Giants would be a good fit for T.O. Their offense really digressed after Plaxico Burress got arrested. Eli needs that big receiver who can stretch the defense and work 1-on-1 around the goal line. Eli doesn't throw the ball with a lot of zip so T.O. shouldn't have as many drops either.
