"There's pain, and then there's pain. Andre Johnson, who has had a high-ankle sprain since the first half of the season's second game, is probably hurting worse than Owen Daniels is on the ouch meter. But Daniels' strained hamstring may well force him out of Sunday's game with San Diego, whereas Johnson has resigned himself to gritting his teeth and getting it on with the Chargers' No. 1-ranked defense, not to mention the Texans' final eight opponents. "I've pretty much got that mindset," Johnson said when he was asked if he expected the ankle to be an irritant for the rest of the season. "It's very aggravating, I can tell you that. But it's just something you have to accept and roll with. I try to do everything I can to feel as good as I can. I've got to play through it." The amount of rest Johnson needs to get 100 percent healthy the Texans can ill afford to give him, and he understands that. So he soldiers on, taking a mind-over-matter approach. He can always take a shot for the pain, if necessary." http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/7282013.html
