<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Texas sophomore center LaMarcus Aldridge has spoken with coach Rick Barnes about entering the NBA Draft, and as a result of their conversation, Aldridge is making inquiries about agents. Aldridge has not formally entered his name into the NBA Draft pool, and even if he does, he could return to school if he maintains his eligibility. However, signing with an agent would be an irreversible move into professional basketball. Aldridge, whom Texas lists at 6-foot-10 but who is closer to 7-0, averaged 15 points and 9.2 rebounds for the 30-7 Longhorns. He would become a candidate for the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, depending on which teams wins the lottery and which other early entrant candidates -- Florida's Joakim Noah? -- go into the draft. </div> Source
No surprise. He'll be a top five pick come June, it's too bad for Texas though. I'm more interested to see Daniel Gibson's decision after a sub-par year...
Is it just me or does Aldridge seem like a Channing Frye clone. Perhaps a better rebounder, but they have some real similarities about their games. After that LSU game Aldridge has left me with a bad impression of him. I mean 2-14 and got to the line 0 times. The LSU frontcourt forced him on the perimeter so you can imagine what an NBA-caliber frontcourt would do to him. I guess he'll have to impress in workouts which I think he'll do.

I thought there was already a thread saying that PJ Tucker and Daniel Gibson were returning for atleast another year. But if LaMarcus comes out he'll go very high, top 3 IMO, but probably 1st overall.
