Brady Buying Audi SUVs For Offensive Line Big Ten Network - 05/17 - 7:32 PM ESTTom Brady announced Friday at a charity appearance that he is providing his offensive linemen with Audi Q7 SUV's. Brady had a record-breaking season and was the NFL's MVP. _____________________________________________________ I like seeing the skill position players shining light and appreciating the guys on the line that make his stats and play possible. Good show of class. I also liked the way Adian Peterson flew the offesive line out to Hawaii and set em up in a top notch hotel for pro-bowl weekend, very classy for a rookie....
Audi - great choice, German engineering at its best. But thats great of Brady to do that and buy them SUVs.
That's a nice touch, but getting expensive cars for guys who can afford them seems somewhat unneccessary to me. While I'm very hesitant to bash something that a Patriot is doing that people consider good, I don't think this is all that great of a story. Its always nice for a quarterback to appreciate the guys infront of him, if those guys really wanted Audi SUVs or of Alexander's guys really wanted Rolex watches, they would have bought them on their own. I'd like to see Brady or the rushing champ take the $30 or $40 grand and donate it in their name to their college or high school to set up a scholarship or improve a high school football facility or donate to the charity of their choosing.

But it comes down to the old phrase...."It's the thought that counts" It was a brand new SUV that's not on the saleroom floors yet so he knew that would be something they haven't bought themselves yet. But I still see what your talking about...with the charity. But keep in mind not all of the players have big contracts, especially offensive linemen. Not to mention that some have family issues or child support (lol...I know all about that one...lol) that take away a bulk of thier income......oh....not to mention taxes....sure they make alot of money....but often not as much as you think
The absolute lowest salary for an NFL player is $285,000. While they are not all multi-million dollar athletes, they can pick up Audi SUVs without a problem. And yes, I realize its the thought that counts, but doesn't the Russ Hochstein Scholarship Fund mean more?
http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patr...le_for_charity/ As it turns out, there's a bit more here. Brady is serving as the honorary chairmain and celebrity ambasador of the Audi Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port, which raises money for people with intellectual disabilities. In return for Brady spending three years in that role, the starting five offensive linemen get the use of the Q7s for a year. That's a little bit better than buying rich toys for guys who can afford them.

A 40,000 dollar gift would be well excepted and appreciated. But it is a nice gesture that it raises money for a worthy cause...so yes, kudos in that department.
